Hello,
Not sure on how this all works but here goes. A month ago I had this recurring message from things I read or heard about the Camino de Santiago. I talked to my wife about it and and then we heard that there would be a presentation at our local Catholic book store by a priest who walked the Camino and wrote a book about his experience on the Pilgrimage, "Hiking the Camino" by Father Dave Pivonka, T.O.R.. We were both quite taken with the presentation and read his book. So here we are now with plans to do the Camino Frances the end of April and May of 2011. This is a totally unexpected journey that neither of us had ever considered. We have been very blessed with our first hurdle, getting the time off from work to do this. Now we are in the planning stage and accumulating the equipment and the ground work. By ground work, I mean getting into our new hiking boots and putting in the time to brake them in. Tomorrow we start the process. If there are any Camino veterans out there who can share their experience with us that would be most welcome. Until then Buen Camino!!!
